INCOMING!!!!

This is an 18 X 11 acrylic on gessoed board of Canadian Geese landing on an evening cornfield.

This is another one of those scenes from my imagination. It was fun to paint with the different motions of the geese.

I watch geese go over my house every evening as they go from a local lake to feed in nearby cornfields. I love to hear their call as they go high overhead.

tundra swans

I love swans. Maybe it brings back memories of my days at Iowa State. I loved walking by Lake LaVerne and seeing the two trumepter swans, Lancelot and Elaine. It was a stress release from classes and work and everything else that tugs at a college student.
The two in this painting are enjoying the fall marsh and heading towards unknown adventures just like college students.
This is a 8 x 10 acrylic painting on canvas board. It may be my favorite so far.

wild life paintings

I have been working on paintings of scenes that I have witnessed in my time outdoors. Some are from my bird feeder to imaginary scenes from my experiences in the marsh upland fields and the timber while hunting deer and turkey. I hope that some of these paintings help you recall fond memories in the outdoors also.
